Inflatable boatracing started
out +- 30 years ago where men
took each other on in river
racing. The sport developed over
the years and South Africa is
currently the world leaders in
technology, performance and
number of participants. The rig
consists of an inflatable racing
boat and a single 50hp outboard
motor. At the back of the boat
the driver steers the boat and
is called a “pilot”. Balancing
and adjusting the pitch of the
boat is the co-pilot. Together
these two work to try and gain
more speed and stability from
the craft in order to beat the
opposition. First of all you
need to figure if this tough
sport is for you. Read More »
